Candies such as Allsort Licorice, Ribbons & laces were the 1st products to be exported (North America). The Malaco exporting business grew of course. In the late 1960's early 1970's Swedish Fish & Swedish Berries were developed specifically for the North American market. Swedish Fish were developed in Sweden. Yes, this is why they are called "Swedish Fish." Today, Swedish Fish are made in both Sweden and in Canada.
